Meet the Maker: Nicole, Founder of Aroma Reiki
Hi! I’m Nicole — Reiki Master, wellness guide, and the heart behind Aroma Reiki. Let me share a little of my journey and how this magical path began.
After high school, like many fresh graduates, I headed off to college full of excitement and dreams. I started at the University of Maine at Machias, where I pursued Marine Biology — driven by my love for animals and the environment. I absolutely loved being in Maine, but being far from home proved a little too hard for this proud homebody, so I transferred.
Next stop: Newbury College just outside Boston, where I dove into the world of Interior Design (yes — a full 180 from ocean science!). After a semester there, I transferred once more, landing closer to home at Western Connecticut State University. There, after a little soul-searching, I discovered the Wellness Management program — and something inside me just clicked.
I fell in love with everything I was learning: nutrition, holistic health, energy healing, wellness leadership — and then, I found Reiki.
One of my courses offered Reiki certification, and I was all in. I completed my Level I and II Reiki training and couldn’t stop practicing — on anyone and everyone who was open to it. That spark turned into a full flame, and I eventually became a Certified Reiki Master and completed training in Holy Fire Reiki. It was life-changing — and I knew this was only the beginning.
To complete my degree, I took on two internships:
🌿 One at a local apothecary and herbal school, where I deepened my connection to plant magic and holistic living
💫 And the other at my college wellness center, where I created wellness boards, supported student healing, and gave Reiki sessions in a dedicated treatment room.
These experiences shaped what would soon become Aroma Reiki — a sacred space for energy healing, natural wellness, and connecting people back to the Earth and themselves.
